Thomas A. Pearson specializes in insurance defense and has tried numerous cases involving automobile liability, products liability, commercial liability, liquor liability and insurance coverage.  In recent years, Tom defended toxic tort claims and asbestos cases and has developed a recognized expertise in environmental coverage matters.  Tom was the lead trial lawyer for an environmental insurance coverage case that attracted nationwide attention and that resulted in a coverage allocation favorable to the carriers. (Domtar vs. Niatra Fire Ins. Co., et al, 563 N.W. 2d [ Minn. 1997]).  Tom also practices extensively in the area of health law, representing various health providers in licensing, disciplinary and practice management matters.  He has served as a certified neutral arbitrator in a number of liability and coverage matters.  Tom has been a chair person and lecturer for seminars involving trial practice, insurance coverage issues, health law, and liquor liability.
